"The Purpose of Poptikz is to foster a community of Poppers at UCSD. This involves informing individuals about the etiquettes of battling, the foundations of popping, related substyles of Popping, and expression through music. Poptikz aims to show Popping in its street, freestyle form through cyphers and battles."
Poptikz is UCSD's premier popping group. Students of all levels are encouraged to join the squad and learn what hip hop dancing is REALLY about. This team loves spreading cultural knowledge about this fundamental hip hop style and they are more than happy to help you learn the basics. In fact THEY LOVE IT. This team is extremely passionate when it comes to anything pop, lock, and drop. They've also recently expanded their sessions to tend to their house-style needs.
Poptikz is known for hosting a dance battle/competition called Sound Split and work tirelessly to get poppers from all around California to attend. They also compete around Southern California in crew battle type competitions.
