KASAMA MODERN

"Meaning "together," Kasama Modern is a new dance group at UCSD that was founded just last year. The purpose of this group is to provide a community for dancers of all levels at UCSD to dance and grow together. We focus on creating a welcoming space for every dancer to learn and share their passion."

Kasama Modern is a new dance team on campus closely - but not directly - associated with Kaibigang Pilipino (a Filipino-based student organization).  Comprised of various levels of dancers, KMOD takes pride in showcasing what Filipino dancers can do.  They are an exhibition team who's purpose is to provide another space of unity and acceptance.

KMOD prepares a set annually for KP's Magkasama showcase in the fall.
